We were fortunate enough to be able to spend some visitng Sofitel Fiji. Upon arrival, as ALL Members we were directed to our dedicated check in zone and offered a juice while we get our room organised. As our room wasn't available yet, we were guided down to Madame So bar to have a drink. Our room was ready at 3:30pm. Sofitel Fiji also offers their pillow service, where you can go to the shop, select your pillow and put down a deposit to ensure your pillows are exactly what you would expect.

The hotel facilities were as expected from a 5-star resort, with 5 restaurants and 2 bars spread out across a huge plot. Food options will keep everyone happy, with French, Vietnamese, Mediterranean,  Buffets and Grills. Breakfast had options ranging from curries, to continental, to smoothies and enough coffee to ensure whatever event you are hosting, your guests will not go hungry.

Beyond the food and beverage the hotel also offers a fitness center and spa facilities.

Business travellers will be delighted with large rooms and enough space to get some work done between workshops, conferences and meals (not to mention some pool time!).

The meeting rooms themselves are modern, spacious and have enough dividers that you no matter the size of your event, you will be able to find a space at Sofitel. Some of the spaces had natural break out spaces, that could be easily made into private areas. We did note, that some event spaces do not have natural light, unless you book out the full area, so make sure when contacting the Sofitel Fiji events team you request spaces with lighting.

Is Sofitel a good option for corporate retreats?

As far as corporate retreats go, Fiji is a fastanstic option, and Sofitel as a 5-star resort is a no-brainer. Beyond the meeting rooms, there are private cafes and plenty of restaurants that could play house to you and all your guests. If you are organising a business trip to Fiji, and  are expecting no children, you can organise your dinners to be had at the Waitui Bar and Grill. While we are Australian, this was the best steak I have had in more than a year.

The hotel, as are most hotels in Fiji, is catered towards families, with the main pool a haven for children and the hotel offering kids clubs. If you are looking to host adults only at your corporate retreat or offsite, you should request access to the adults only pool area as part of your package. For an additional fee you and your guests could access a separate part of the hotel.

Where should I host my conference in Fiji?

The Grandballroom, a combinatino of Ballroom 1, 2 and 3, offers 800 square metres of space, enough for over 750 guests (theatre) or 480 (banquet). With 6m ceiling height, and a space easily accessible from the entrance of the venue, whatever your conference is, whether a product showcase, a gala, or an annual sales conference you can almost guarantee Sofitel is perfect.
